Funlit Games is a solo studio run by Joakim Bengtsson, and I'm the person
responsible for your data on this site (funlitgames.com). I keep
data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and reply to you. This
page explains what's collected, why, and what you can do about it.
What I collect and why
- Contact form. When you message me I receive your name, email, message, and any optional details you add (which game, your browser/device). I use these only to read and reply. The form is handled by Formspree, which forwards it to my inbox.
- Advertising. Some pages show ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads, and to personalize them based on your previous visits to this and other sites.
- Games. Some embedded games save things like scores or settings in your browser's local storage. That stays on your device — I don't receive it.
- Hosting. The site is static and served from cloud hosting (AWS), which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and delivery.
Cookies and ad personalization
You can turn off personalized advertising in your Google Ads settings, or opt out of third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info/choices. If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you're shown a consent choice before any personalized ads are served. More detail is in Google's overview of how it uses data from sites that use its services.
Who processes your data
I rely on a few service providers to run the site: Formspree (contact form), Google AdSense (advertising), and AWS (hosting). These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own privacy terms and safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the data I hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time. The easiest way is the contact form. I keep contact messages only as long as I need them to handle your request, then delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date above. Questions? Reach me through the contact page.
