Depot Dash is a 3D conveyor-routing puzzle game where parcels move automatically through a busy depot. Switch junctions, read the queue, and guide each package to the right exit. The moving belt adds a timing question to every routing solution: can you set it up before the next box arrives?

The idea behind Depot Dash

Most routing puzzles freeze the world while you think. Depot Dash does the opposite: the belts never stop. Parcels are always in motion, so each solution also asks whether you can set the junctions in the right order before the next box arrives. That small shift, from a static board to a moving one, is what turns a logic puzzle into something with a heartbeat.

The depot is deliberately readable. A parcel’s destination is written on the box, junctions flip with a single input, and the camera sits high enough to see the whole floor. Everything hard about a level comes from the timing and ordering of your switches, not from hidden information. When you fail, you can usually see exactly which switch you made too late, and that “I know what I did wrong” feeling is what pulls you into another attempt.

That readability is a core design rule. There are no luck-based puzzles in Depot Dash: the queue is visible, the layout is fixed, and every level is tested to be solvable. A failed run is always a scheduling mistake you can see and fix, which is the whole reason replaying a level makes each replay productive.

Difficulty grows by layering, not by adding noise. Early levels teach one junction and one parcel type. Later ones add more destinations, tighter queues, fragile parcels that cannot take express lanes, rusty slow lanes, multi-way junctions, and lower mistake limits, so the same two controls keep producing harder decisions.

In your browser, Depot Dash is Chapter 1: twelve levels, free, no download and no account. That is the whole introduction to the depot’s rules, simple junctions first, then tighter layouts and the first real routing decisions. It runs on desktop and mobile browsers.

On Android, Depot Dash is a free install with those same twelve levels, plus the optional Depot Mastery Bundle, a one-time purchase that unlocks Chapters 2–6 and fifty more levels, for sixty-two in total, and removes interstitial ads. That is where the harder material lives: multi-way junctions, express and rusty lanes, stricter mistake limits, and three-star targets that assume you have internalised the earlier chapters.

The browser stores progress locally and has no account, cloud save, or global leaderboard. It does not sync to Android, so starting in the app after finishing Chapter 1 here means replaying those twelve levels, which takes a fraction of the time once you know the layouts.

A puzzle you can read ahead

This is not about frantic tapping. The visible queue is the core mechanic, not a UI convenience: it lets you think one or two parcels ahead, pre-set junctions early, and find cleaner routes on a replay. Reacting to the box in front of you works for a while. Planning works considerably longer, and it is the only thing that gets you through the later chapters.

Strategy

The core skill is reading the queue, not the parcel currently on the belt. If you only react to the box in front of you, you will always be one switch behind. Glance at the two or three parcels lined up behind it and pre-set junctions for the ones whose route you already know.

Switch early and switch once. Every extra flip counts against your efficiency star, and a junction thrown at the last second is the most common cause of a misroute. If a parcel’s destination will not change, set its path the moment you see it and leave that junction alone.

Chasing three stars is a different game from just clearing a level. For the accuracy and efficiency stars, plan a route that needs the fewest switches overall, sometimes accepting a slightly longer path for a parcel so you never have to touch a busy junction twice. Once fragile parcels and express lanes appear, treat the express lanes as off-limits for anything breakable and route those boxes first, then fit the durable parcels around them.

Common mistakes

• Switching a junction while a parcel is crossing it. The box takes whichever path was set when it entered. Late flips do not redirect it; they only strand the next one.
• Solving for the current parcel in isolation. A junction set perfectly for the box on the belt is often set wrongly for the two behind it. Route pairs, not singles.
• Grinding a level for speed before the route is right. Accuracy and efficiency come from the plan; speed comes free once the plan stops changing. Fix the route first.
• Treating express lanes as a shortcut. They are fast, and they destroy fragile cargo. Once fragile parcels are in the mix, treat express lanes as blocked routes for fragile cargo.

Will it run on my device?

The browser version is a WebGL build and runs on any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop and on phones and tablets. It needs hardware acceleration enabled, if the depot renders as a blank or black box, that is almost always the cause. The first load pulls the 3D assets down, so give it a moment on a slow connection; afterwards it is cached.

On low-end Android phones the native app is the better experience: it avoids the browser’s WebGL overhead entirely and keeps the belts smooth on hardware where the web build has to work harder.
